Collection: Marika Maijala

Marika Maijala lives and works in Helsinki as a freelance illustrator and children's author. She has been awarded the Rudolf Koivu award in 2009 and 2019, and the book she illustrated has twice been nominated for the Finlandia Junior award. In 2023, Marika was an ALMA candidate for the fourth time. Marika's Illustrations have been published not only in Finland, but also in England, Japan, Germany, China, France, Estonia, Sweden, Denmark, South Korea, Taiwan, India and Abu Dhabi. Maijala's literary debut Ruusu matka (Etana Editions 2018) was nominated for the 2019 Nordic Council Children's and Youth Literature Award.
