Collection: Linda Bondestam

Linda Bondestam (b. 1977) is a Finnish children's author and illustrator who studied illustration in London at the Universities of Buckinghamshire and Kingston. She has illustrated stories written by dozens of Finnish and Swedish authors, including children's books by Sinikka and Tiina Nopola, Eppu Nuotio, Stella Parland and Ulf Stark, and her books have been translated into several languages. Linda has been nominated three times for the prestigious Finlandia Junior Award and five times for the Astrid Lindgren Memorial Award. He has been nominated for the Nordic Council's children's and young people's literature award in 2013 and 2021, as well as the August priset in 2016, 2019 and 2021. He has received The Most Beautiful Books of the Year mention twice. Together with Ulf Stark, Bondestam received the Snöbollen award for the Swedish picture book of the year in 2016 and the Nordic Council's children's and youth literature award in 2017. Since 2017, she has been sitting on chair number 11 of the Swedish Children's Book Academy.

Etana Editions has published three books illustrated by Linda: the toddlers' accordion book Sano hei! by Annika Sandelin (2017), Frank Furu's story of a lonely immigrant girl Mutta te ette ole äiti (2021) and Mimi Åkesson's book Kaikki toiset (2022), which reflects on the differences and similarities between people.
