Collection: Hannamari Ruohonen

Hannamari Ruohonen is a Tampere-born graphic artist, illustrator and children's author who lives and works in Ahvenanmaa. She graduated with a master of arts from the graphic department of the University of Applied Arts and Sciences in Helsinki and studied picture book writing at the University of Gothenburg.
Ruohonen has illustrated around 30 picture books and children's novels, eight of which are entirely her own. She has been awarded The Most Beautiful Books in Finland Prize for the book Vauvan oma kirja (2014) and the Rudolf Koivu honorable mention for the book Where are you, Eppu? (2018). For Etana Editions, Hannamari has created a hilarious series of cardboard books about how the gorilla child Gary learns important skills for toddlers.
