Collection: Danielle Jawando

Danielle Jawando is a writer, screenwriter, lecturer at the University of Manchester and PhD student in creative writing, born in Manchester, UK. She currently lives in Hertfordshire. Jawando teaches creative writing to adults and guides a variety of writing courses. In the picture book series Pieni opas suureen elämään, Jawando has written an impressive part that tells the life story of the poet Maya Angelou, who fought for the human rights of black people (Etana Editions, 2019). The book is illustrated by Noa Snir and translated into Finnish by Kirsikka Myllyrinne .
